Portuguese filmfest to host 3 Iranian shorts

Iranian shorts ‘Dayan’, ‘Eligible’ and ‘The Water Will Carry Us’ have been selected to vie at the semi-final of the Lisbon International Film Festival (LIFF) in Portugal.

Directed by Daryoush Shahbazi, ‘Eligible’ narrates the story of a girl whose father has been in jail for years. The girl is trying to make her mother visit the father in prison, but her mother is against this date for some reasons …

Directed by Foroud Avazpour, ‘Dayan’ is about an old man who doesn’t remember his past, but his daughter and son relive his memories and take him to the past…

Directed by Reza Shad, ‘Water Will Carry Us’ focuses on the life of an old man who is having a nightmare. He makes a strange decision which results in a stressful situation for his family and society.

The first edition of the LIFF is slated for September 13-15, 2019.
